Rapid Production Scaling During an Economic Downturn
The client is a subcontractor for numerous European manufacturers. Since 2015, Foseko has been responsible for most of their coating jobs.
Client and Their Needs
In 2020, in response to rising demand during the Covid-19 pandemic, the client received a large order to coat air purifier housings. Together with Foseko, they had to scale up capacity by as much as 3,000 m² per week – a major increase from their previous 2,000 m² weekly output.
Cooperation and Implementation Process
Foseko quickly adapted to the client’s needs by increasing staffing and implementing overtime shifts. A flexible operating model was developed jointly to meet growing demands.
Despite challenges with the availability of powder coatings, protective suits, and masks, every delivery was completed on schedule.
Solution and Technological Process
The coating of equipment housings was done using powder coating technology that ensures high durability and aesthetics. The quality requirements were exceptionally high, as the products were delivered to clients across Europe.
Internal logistics procedures were also adjusted to manage the sudden increase in volume.
Results and Benefits
At peak performance, the project reached over 5,000 m² of coated surface per week. A record month ended with a total of 36,000 m².
Thanks to the close cooperation with Foseko, the client:
- maintained production continuity,
- fulfilled all orders without delays,
- strengthened their position as a reliable supplier to the medical and tech industries.
Despite the extraordinary circumstances of the pandemic, quality and timeliness were maintained at the highest level.
